Wells MP5K GBB Gel Blaster – Behind the scenes #10

Hey guys, it’s been a while since our last blog post, we’ve been busy sourcing the best quality gel blasters from around the world to deliver to you in 2021. We have some exciting surprises in the near future that we are sure you’re going to love.  

As we’re all eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Wells MP5K gas blow back sub machine guns from Wells, it has come to our attention that some of the parts with the magazine are not fit for use on our Australian gel ball market. One of our loved customers reached out to us and showed us his issues with the gel blaster. We found that the issues for the MP5K reside mainly in the magazine itself. 

We have since contacted the factory and spoken to them about the parts that we needed to change in order to cater to our market here in Australia. Upon inspection of the green gas magazines, we found that the feeding lips for the magazine broke almost instantly by just releasing the loading spring. This loading spring compressive strength is far too strong for gel ball usage. As well as the feeding lips being made of an inferior plastic was leading to the breakages.  

The factory has since informed us that our models will come with upgraded feeding lips and reduced spring compressive strength. This should fix the instant damaging of the magazine lips. We have also requested better seals for the release valve.
